Students Council
Participative management is a hallmark of Sri Balaji University, Pune. Students Council is a part of the SBS hierarchy. Since 1999, this student body has played a significant role in the growth of society by shouldering responsibilities and helping the management to focus on matters that lead to the development of Student Managers. These selected few are empowered to take up the cause of the students and that of the administration and help maintain an environment conducive to the growth and development of students.

Infrastructure
Knowledge about computers and computer applications is a must if one seeks to excel in our technology-driven world. Keeping pace with changing technology, we at BIMM believe in providing our students only the best and latest IT and computer facilities. To stay abreast with the times, the computer labs are equipped with desk-mounted systems supported by 100 MBPS internet cables and leased lines for information exchange and connectivity. To further ensure uninterrupted internet access, the Campus is Wi-fi enabled with hi-speed internet with 100 Mbps speed, providing an opportunity to the student managers to access the web wherever they may be on the campus. All these facilities are controlled through the server room located within the campus, which has more than 28 servers and more than 2000 nodes.

To further facilitate the learning and development of students, the University has subscribed to several licensed software, the most important of these being the indispensable MS Office 365, the ever-essential SAP e-learning software, SQL, and SQSS. These software are maintained and updated under the Microsoft Campus Agreement. As a result, the labs are fully equipped with the latest licensed versions of the required computer applications, programs and software.
The BIMM Library possesses more than 80,000 books comprising textbooks, reference books, books related to business and management and many more.

To promote learning and encourage students to develop an inclination toward the latest management research, the library has subscribed to 185 journals and magazines comprising international and national editions and subscriptions to 26 local and national newspapers.
The library has also made arrangements for sharing information and knowledge from several national and international online libraries and databases such as NDL- National Digital Library, EBSCO- EBSCO Management Collection & eBook Business Collection and has online subscriptions and editions to journals such as Human Resource Development Review, Global Journal of Emerging Market Economics and so on. 14 online journals and databases are made available for the students and faculty for study and research.
The library possesses more than 345 CDs related to various subjects like, Psychometric tests, IQ tests, ET in Classroom, aptitude tests, and CDs on Faculty Seminar Series published by Harvard Business School are also available.
The reading room of the BIMM library has comfortable chairs and desk facilities affording opportunities for serious research and study along with light reading and general reference with a seating capacity of 180. It possesses a reprographic facility for the students and faculty members. In addition, the library is equipped with ten computer systems catering to the e-library and reference needs of its members and visitors.
A place to relax with dreams to lead: The hostel @ Sri Balaji University, Pune.
The nucleus of the student manager’s life after the classroom is the hostel building at Sri Balaji University, Pune. With ample accommodation and recreational facilities, the hostel building is where the student managers relax, study, and interact with their peers. Student accommodations are arranged as ‘clusters’ with residential spaces for 12 student managers in one cluster. Each floor contains eight clusters with four floors for the student managers in the hostel building. Facilities such as drinking water coolers, lockable steel almirah and in-room furniture are provided for the hostel premises’ student managers.

Order is maintained in the hostel premises by the ‘Cluster Friend’ and the ‘Floor Friend’, who are student managers assigned with the responsibility of maintaining the decorum of the hostel premises and making sure that the rules and regulations of the hostels are being adhered to. Apart from a gymnasium and the swimming pool, a laundromat is present on the hostel premises. A doctor is present on the hostel premises to provide basic first aid and to treat minor and miscellaneous ailments. An ambulance is present at the hostel premises so that proper and timely aid can be given in cases of emergency.
The hostel facility is available to both male and female candidates. However, the allotment takes place on a first-come, first-serve basis due to a limited number of seats. However, students who are not able to avail the hostel at Sri Balaji University, Pune hire rented accommodation near the campus.

Having learnt from his experiences in war, napoleon bonaparte, emperor of france, has said that “an army marches on its stomach”. the importance of good and nutritious food has been understood by sri balaji university, and it has made good on napoleon’s observation by constructing and running three spacious eating facilities on the campus grounds. like clockwork, piping hot and nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner is served daily to the student managers giving them the energy they need to be up and ready in the society. apart from these three eating facilities, there is a juice shop and a light refreshment shop on the campus.
Facilities
A general medical care and check-up facility is provided in the hostel building in sri balaji university, pune. student managers, faculty members and other university members alike can avail these medical facilities.

To cater to the daily needs of the university, a stationery shop has been provided for the in the campus. the shop is stocked with a variety of items ranging from stationery to snacks and packaged food items. a book binding, printing and xerox facility is also present at the counter. also present in the campus is a fruits and juice bar that serves fresh fruits salad and juice of all varieties.
To facilitate smooth and timely financial transactions, an atm is functional outside the campus gate.
With over 1200 student managers in the University, physical health is a must for achieving excellence in life. Sri Balaji University has provided ample opportunities for its student managers to play, leap and run in various games such as – football, volleyball, tennis, badminton, basketball and so on. In addition, a walking track provides an opportunity to go for a leisurely stroll or a brisk jog around the campus.

Apart from these outdoor games facilitates, indoor games such as table tennis and carom have been provided in the University. Last but not least, a fully equipped gymnasium with the latest cardio, weight loss and muscle training equipment and a swimming pool is provided for the hostel building student managers. Furthermore, each institute in the University has its own ‘sports committee’ that bears the responsibility of ensuring the well-being of the participants and ensuring that a clean game is being played in the University.
Sri Balaji University strives for holistic development of its student managers. Thus adequate attention and opportunities to excel beyond the classroom are provided. Student managers may participate, perform and assist in the arrangement of various competitions, festivals, and cultural events in the University.
Drishti
Drishti is an annual pan-University event involving all the four institutes of Sri Balaji University. Drishti offers something for everyone. For the budding business barons, there is an opportunity to participate in a business quiz or draw out a business plan. For the culturally inclined, the event offers an occasion to join musical contests or showcase their creativity in designing costumes for the fashion show. Athletes can participate in sports events conducted on the college grounds or in the indoor sports area.
Thus, Drishti is an opportunity for every student manager in the University, juniors and seniors, faculty and staff members alike, to participate on and off the stage and presents them the opportunity to win a cash prize of INR 1,50,000, the coveted Rathininathammal Trophy and the unchallenged glory of victory for themselves and their institute.
Fresher’s party
It goes without saying that each student manager who joins the Sri Balaji University is a welcome part of the University. First, however, a formal welcome is extended in the form of The fresher’s party, which allows the student managers to showcase their best performance and talent. It is an institute-specific event, and the various sections of the PGDM batch compete amongst themselves to win a cash prize of INR 1,50,000 and the opportunity to visit Goa.
Apart from these main events, parties and get-togethers are frequently arranged at the University. To celebrate the mini-India spirit of the University, all Indian festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm.

Aiyaswamy culturals
A long-running tradition at Sri Balaji University, the Aiyaswamy Cultural Competition is held every year at the end of the induction period in the spacious Ranganathan Auditorium. The Aiyaswamy Cultural Competition was first introduced in 2015, before which it was known as the fresher’s party. Except for the name, nothing much has changed. It was conducted with the same energy, zeal, fervour, and enthusiasm. The craze and anticipation for the fest amongst the student managers have only increased. Apart from the two days of break from regular classes, the prize money and a trip to Goa add enthusiasm to the students. The winning group is awarded a cash prize of INR 1, 50,000/- and a trip to Goa. This year, River Sabarmati won the Aiyaswamy Cup and the trip to Goa.
Festivals Celebration
Sri Balaji University is a multilingual and multi-cultural campus, a confluence of all cultures and ethnicities in India. Needless to say, such a campus celebrates the hues of India with great enthusiasm and zeal. The management extends maximum support and encouragement for these celebrations and is as much a part of it as its student managers.
